Hoạt động trọng tâm của Ngày hội sẽ là chương trình hiến máu – diễn ra bên trong Nhà hát. Các hoạt động khác diễn ra ở Sân trước với trọng tâm tại ba trại: Thăng Long – Đông Đô – Hà Nội.
1.Phần 1: Tổ chức các chương trình giao lưu "Trái tim tình nguyện 2009"
Thời gian: Từ 8h00 - 21h00
·Các hoạt động giao lưu, chia sẻ của các tình nguyện viên tham gia các hoạt động xã hội trong và ngoài nước, chương trình cũng có sự góp mặt của các ca sĩ, nghệ sĩ, câu lạc bộ gắn bó với phong trào hoạt động xa hội và tình nguyện như: Xuân Bắc, Vượng “râu”, Duy Khoa, Minh Quân, Tăng Nhật Tuệ, Việt Hoàn, Anh Thơ…, các ban nhạc sinh viên, các đội hình tình nguyện, các số nhóm nhảy Hà Nội… Phần trò chơi thật sự sôi động và hấp dẫn với sự chủ trì của Câu lạc bộ kỹ năng AC và Câu lạc bộ SB – Siêu MÁU.
·Chương trình "nhịp điệu tình nguyện” với màn trình diễn hấp dẫn với 999 tình nguyện viên cùng tham gia thực hiện một điệu nhảy tình nguyện “hãy đến với những con người Việt Nam tôi” và những điệu nhảy tập thể khác.
·Chương trình thời trang trình nguyện, cặp đôi hoàn hảo…
2.Phần 2: Triển lãm “khoảng khắc tình nguyện”
3.Phần 3: Chương trình “Sẻ giọt máu yêu thương”
Thời gian: Từ 7h30 - 18h00
Các tình nguyện viên cùng tham gia thể hiện nghĩ cử tình nguyện hết sức cụ thể đó là hiến máu, hiến máu nhắc lại, đăng ký hiến máu dự bị cho ngân hàng máu sống.
Đây là cơ hội tuyệt vời để cùng sẻ chia giọt máu của mình để cứu sống những người bệnh đang bị ảnh hưởng của đại dịch Sốt xuất huyết. Nghệ sĩ Xuân Bắc sẽ tặng quà cho 99 những người tham gia hiến máu tình nguyện mà mã số hiến máu có số 9. Ngoài ra các tình nguyện viên cùng đăng ký hiến máu từng phần,dự bị cho Tết Nguyên đán và Lễ hội Xuân hồng 2010.
4.Phần 4: Liên hoan ca khúc về Hiến máu tình nguyện
Thời gian tổ chức: Từ 19h00 – 21h00
Các tình nguyện viên tham dự chương trình sẽ cùng thưởng thức chương trình ca múa nhạc đặc biệt về hiến máu tình nguyện của Nhà hát ca múa nhạc Thăng Long và các ca sĩ, nghệ sĩ nổi tiếng như: Nhạc sỹ Đỗ Hồng Quân, NS Nguyễn Trọng Tạo, NS Nguyễn Cường... Ca sỹ Hồng Liên, Việt Hoàn, … Lần đầu tiên, một chương trình nghệ thuật công phu và chuyên nghiệp được dàn dựng với chủ đề Dòng máu Lạc Hồng, tôn vinh nghĩa cử nhân ái cao đẹp của những người đã hiến máu tình nguyện.
Ban tổ chức ngày hội bắt đầu tiếp nhận đăng ký tham gia của các đơn vị tình nguyện từ 20 tháng 11 năm 2009 đến 03 tháng 12 năm 2009 (có mẫu đăng ký)
